Who we are

Nineveh Women's Organization is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that includes a group of women victims of terrorism who emerged from the womb of suffering after being exposed to a lot of psychological and physical harm during the ISIS occupation of Nineveh and Mosul Governorates. Especially at the beginning, a team of women only was established from one component, Sunni Arabs (Nineveh women), but after implementing a number of community reconciliation activities with the rest of the components in different areas, we decided to open the team to join from the rest of the areas so that the organization includes women from all components and religious sects.

Vision

A peaceful, democratic and diverse society that guarantees human rights, freedoms and gender equality, promotes the values of social justice, citizenship and non-violence, and rejects extremism in all its forms.

The organization consists of a group of women, numbering (20) women from Nineveh Governorate from all components and religious sects, arts, specializations and different ages, and they are united by common and diverse ideas. The first meeting of the team was held on November 2019 on the sidelines of a training program dedicated to training the team on developing leadership skills.
